This design allows all terminals to be connected yet work independently ensuring continuous operation even in the event of a network or host failure or both.
With unTill® advanced data synchronization capability, transactional consistency is maintained on all terminals at all times. The result is maximum system availability.
Modifying or deleting information on any network station is synchronised with all other stations within 15 hundreds of a second, making all changes visible to all users.

Database Connectivity:

The unTill® hospitality software is a totally new platform developed for a network environment.
Using the latest file handling technology, unTill® was designed with stability in mind.
It does not make use of a central database, as any other POS systems to date have done.
unTill® database management system is fully ODBC and SQL compliant ensuring that third party systems can easily integrate with unTill®. Flexible design gives the user the option of choosing the enterprise database server of choice.
Consequently, with the advanced architectural design, coupled with its platform independence and open database flexibility, the user's technological investment is protected now and well into the future.


This signifies enormous progress in regards to:

  • Speed: Only modifications are sent through the network so that sending data across the network can be reduced to a strict minimum. Central Database systems send information to all stations, often making the system run slower overall.
  • Operational Security: Because unTill® does not use a central server, there is nothing to crash, never rendering the whole system unusable. If an unTill® terminal breaks down, its tasks are - without intervention - taken over by another. All other stations will continue to work normally and the information on the broken down terminal is will still synchronised through the entire network.
  • Security: Loss of information is elimited because each station always has the same information. The number of “copies” in circulation is proportionate to the number of network terminals.
  • Installation and starting times: When connected to a network, a new POS is immediately operational because the other stations immediately synchronize with the newcomer.
  • IP / WIFI Printing: When using an IP / WIFI-printer, your network is 100% secured against break-down.
  • Database by WIFI: If you experience interference with other networks, such as a neighboring business, a terminal using a secure WIFI connection can be installed. unTill® is able to work with a wireless router and synchronize the entire network.
